Kitui County Governor, H.E. Dr. Julius Makau Malombe, has officially unveiled the ceremonial plaque for the Kitui County Aggregation and Industrial Park at Kanyonyoo, Yatta Kwa Vonza. The event, hosted by Yatta Kwa Vonza MCA Hon. Mark Ndingo, marked a significant milestone in the county’s industrialization and economic growth agenda.
Speaking at the event, Governor Malombe emphasized the importance of the industrial park in boosting value addition, creating employment, and strengthening the county’s manufacturing sector. He reiterated his administration’s commitment to attracting investors and enhancing the county’s economic potential.
Following the unveiling, the governor officially opened the Kitui County Investors Sensitization Forum 2025, an event aimed at engaging stakeholders on investment opportunities within the county. The forum brought together key players in business, agriculture, and industry, fostering discussions on economic partnerships and sustainable development.
Hon. Mark Ndingo lauded the governor’s vision for industrial growth, stating that the park would be a game-changer for local farmers and entrepreneurs by providing a ready market for their produce and industrial processing facilities.
The Kitui County Aggregation and Industrial Park is expected to enhance the county’s capacity in value addition, agro-processing, and job creation, positioning Kitui as a regional hub for industrial development.
