The National Liberal Party (NLP) has intensified its grassroots engagement in Machakos County under the leadership of Hon. Augustus Kyalo Muli.
The party leader, who has pitched camp in the region, is on a mission to directly engage with residents, listen to their concerns, and reaffirm his belief in people-first leadership.
Hon. Muli, a staunch advocate for citizen-driven governance, referred to the people as his “true bosses” and reiterated that leadership must be anchored on listening and delivering real change. “The people are the foundation of leadership. I am here to hear them, walk with them, and act on their concerns,” he said during a community forum.
The NLP’s presence in Machakos marks a significant step in its growing grassroots movement aimed at expanding the party’s support base and entrenching its philosophy of people-centered politics. The ongoing outreach has been welcomed warmly by residents, many of whom have praised Hon. Muli’s humble approach and commitment to inclusive development.
Party insiders say the Machakos engagement is just one of several planned across the counties as NLP intensifies its reach ahead of future political contests.
