The National Transport and Safety Authority (NTSA) officials yesterday conducted a biometric registration exercise for more than 200 bodaboda riders in Mwingi West Constituency.
The riders, who recently completed Phase 3 of a fully sponsored training program, will receive their new Smart Driving Licenses, fully paid for three years.
The training initiative, funded by the Mwingi West National Government Constituency Development Fund (NG-CDF) under the leadership of Hon. Charles Nguna, MP, aims to enhance road safety, professionalism, and economic stability within the bodaboda sector.
Speaking on the ongoing program, Hon. Nguna reaffirmed his commitment to empowering the youth and enhancing road safety in Mwingi West. The initiative has not only transformed the bodaboda sector but has also contributed to economic growth by creating more employment opportunities for trained riders.
