President Ruto Holds Historic Rally in Narok, Unveils Narok International Airport Project

President William Samoei Ruto made history on Monday by holding the largest political rally ever witnessed in Narok County, drawing tens of thousands of enthusiastic supporters as he wrapped up the first day of his development tour in Kilgoris.

The rally, marked by energetic chants and vibrant displays of support, served as the backdrop for the President’s bold unveiling of the Narok International Airport project — a transformative infrastructure initiative expected to open the region to global tourism and commerce.

In a strongly worded address, President Ruto defended his administration’s development record, hitting out at critics whom he termed “an idle grouping” bent on distraction rather than constructive engagement.

“We are busy working for the people of Kenya. Let those making noise continue; we are delivering development,” said the Head of State, to loud cheers from the crowd.

The President emphasized that the airport project is a symbol of his government’s commitment to equitable growth and devolution, ensuring that even historically underserved regions like Narok benefit from international-level infrastructure.

The rally concluded day one of the President’s multi-day tour of the South Rift region, where he is expected to launch additional development projects and engage with local leaders and residents on priority issues.
