President William ruto launches Construction of KSh 9.4 Billion Illasit-Rombo-Taveta Road

President William Ruto has launched the construction of the 65-kilometre Illasit-Rombo-Njukini-Taveta Road, a KSh 9.4 billion project aimed at boosting trade, tourism, and access to essential services.

The road will significantly cut travel time from Illasit to Taveta from two hours to just 45 minutes, enhancing connectivity between Kajiado and Taita Taveta counties. The project underscores the government’s commitment to improving rural infrastructure for balanced national development.
