Learners in senior school will not be compelled to study mathematics and science subjects, Basic Education Principal Secretary Belio Kipsang has confirmed.
Speaking on Monday, Kipsang clarified that under the Competency-Based Curriculum (CBC), students will have the freedom to choose subjects based on their interests and career aspirations.
This announcement comes amid concerns from stakeholders regarding subject selection under the new system. The government has assured that learners will receive proper guidance to make informed choices.
