State House event director Bonnie Musambi has called on all Ukambani leaders to collaborate with the government, warning that continued opposition politics is detrimental to the region’s development.
In a strongly worded message posted on his social media platforms, Musambi urged leaders from the region to reconsider their political stance and align with the ruling administration for the sake of progress.
“To all Ukambani leaders, and I say all, need to consider working with the government with immediate effect. Opposition politics isn’t fun! Siasa mbaya, maisha mbaya,” he stated.
Musambi lamented that the Kamba community, despite being among Kenya’s top five largest ethnic groups, was lagging behind in national development due to its political choices.
“We cannot be the only community in Kenya’s top five that sees what others cannot see. Fellow tribesmen, ladies, and gentlemen, we are missing out big time and we are going nowhere without the government. Tuache mchezo!” he added.
His remarks come at a time when political realignments are taking shape across the country, with leaders from various regions seeking to secure a place in the government’s development agenda.
Musambi’s comments are likely to spark debate among leaders and residents of Ukambani, where opposition politics has historically been dominant. It remains to be seen how political figures from the region will respond to his call for unity with the ruling administration.
