Thousands & thousands Flock to Welcome Kwitu FM in Machakos County During Historic Roadshow

In a spectacular show of support, thousands of fans thronged the streets of Machakos County to welcome the much-anticipated Kwitu FM 90.1 roadshow, marking a milestone moment for the fastest-growing Kamba radio station in the region.

The event, themed “Kameme Kaa Ka Kwitu FM 90.1 Nìkaemie”, brought business to a standstill as elated listeners gathered to celebrate their favourite station. From young to old, the mood was electric, with music, dance, giveaways, and live broadcasts energizing the vibrant crowd.

Kwitu FM, which broadcasts exclusively in the Kamba language, has rapidly gained a loyal following across the Lower Eastern region. Its unique blend of culturally relevant content, engaging talk shows, and vibrant music has made it the most listened-to station among Kamba speakers.

“This is more than just a radio station — it is the voice of the people,” said a fan in Machakos town. “Kwitu FM speaks our language, understands our issues, and keeps us informed and entertained.”

The roadshow featured top Kwitu FM presenters who connected with their fans in person, bringing the studio experience to the streets. Many listeners expressed pride in having a station that truly represents Kamba heritage and values.

As the slogan goes, #KwituFmNìMwaki — indeed, the station is proving to be the flame lighting up the airwaves of Ukambani and beyond.

With successful stops in other counties already lined up, Kwitu FM’s roadshow is not only a celebration of Kamba culture but also a clear sign of the station’s rising dominance in the regional media landscape.
