The United Democratic Alliance (UDA) has officially announced the commencement of phase two grassroots elections, set to take place on April 11th and 12th, 2025. The elections, which will be conducted at the polling center level, will see UDA members across Kitui County elect their local party officials.
In a statement issued by the UDA National Election Board (NEB) Chairperson, Eng. Anthony Mwaura, the party reaffirmed its commitment to conducting free, fair, and transparent grassroots elections. The process aims to strengthen the party’s grassroots structures ahead of the 2027 general elections.
Kitui County, a region where UDA has been seeking to expand its influence, is expected to witness competitive races as aspirants vie for leadership positions at the local level. The elections will determine officials responsible for mobilizing party support and overseeing party affairs at the grassroots.
As the election dates approach, UDA members in Kitui are urged to participate actively in shaping the party’s future by electing leaders who will champion their interests. The National Election Board is expected to release additional guidelines on the electoral process in the coming days.
For updates and more information, party members and stakeholders are advised to stay tuned to official UDA communication channels.
