Hon. Mark Ndingo, MCA for Yatta/Kwavonza Ward, visited Kanyonyoo village earlier today to assess the ongoing construction work for the Kitui County Aggregation and Industrial Park.
The ambitious project, located on the Yatta B2/Katoteni land, is expected to drive economic growth and create job opportunities for the local community and beyond.
During his visit, MCA Ndingo expressed satisfaction with the progress made so far, stating that the development is moving at an impressive pace. “The project is coming up well and the progress is impressive,” he noted, highlighting the commitment to meet timelines and the potential the park has to transform the local economy.
The industrial park is part of a larger effort to establish Kitui County as a hub for agricultural processing, light manufacturing, and value addition. Once completed, the park is expected to aggregate local produce, creating value chains that will enhance income for local farmers and entrepreneurs.
The Kanyonyoo Industrial Park is a flagship initiative aimed at fostering economic empowerment in the region. County officials and stakeholders are optimistic that the facility will provide a stable infrastructure for business operations and serve as a model for future development projects in Kitui County.
This site inspection underscores MCA Ndingo’s dedication to the project and his commitment to ensuring that the industrial park becomes a critical asset for Yatta/Kwavonza and the wider Kitui County community.
