Hon. Mark Nding’o, the Member of County Assembly (MCA) for Yatta/Kwavonza Ward, officially handed over the construction site for a new Early Childhood Development Education (ECDE) classroom at Iiani Primary School in Kanyonyoo village.
The site handover ceremony marked the commencement of the much-anticipated project, which aims to provide a conducive learning environment for young learners in the area.
The event was attended by key stakeholders, including Yatta/Kwavonza Ward Administrator Alice Kimeu-Kioko, Kanyonyoo Village Administrator Ibrahim Volisi, KRC sub-county engineers, members of the school Board of Management (BOM), and representatives from the school community.Speaking during the handover, Hon. Nding’o reaffirmed his commitment to improving educational infrastructure in the ward. He emphasized the importance of investing in ECDE facilities, noting that early childhood education is the foundation of academic success.“This project reflects our dedication to ensuring that children in our ward receive quality education from the very beginning.
A proper learning environment will significantly impact their growth and future performance,” he said.Local leaders and community members present at the event expressed their gratitude for the initiative, acknowledging that the new classroom will address the challenge of inadequate learning spaces for young learners.
The project is expected to be completed within the stipulated timeline, enhancing access to quality early childhood education in Kanyonyoo and its surroundings.
