By TCD DIGITAL.

In a recently conducted Infotrak survey in Ukambani, Hon. Frederick Kimanga, popularly known as “Generali,” has emerged as the most preferred candidate for the Kitui West parliamentary seat in the 2027 general elections. The survey, which sampled voter opinions in the constituency, placed Kimanga far ahead of his competitors with an impressive 71% approval rating.

Kimanga garnered over 1,000 votes, cementing his position as the frontrunner. He was followed by Hon. Vincent Munyoki, who secured 275 votes, representing 19.43% of the sampled voters. The incumbent MP, Hon. Edith Nyenze, trailed with only 60 votes, translating to a 4.24% approval rating.

Other candidates, including Ben Mbai and Benedict Muasya, received 34 votes and 29 votes respectively. This accounted for 2.41% and 2.05% of the sampled votes. A small percentage of the sampled population, representing only 0.64% (9 votes), remained undecided about their preferred candidate.

The overwhelming support for Kimanga signals a potential shift in political dynamics within Kitui West. Analysts attribute his popularity to his grassroots mobilization, community-focused initiatives, and a reputation for delivering tangible development projects.

As the race for 2027 begins to take shape, the survey results have sparked conversations about the changing preferences of Kitui West voters and the future of leadership in the region.
