In a bid to boost connectivity and promote local development, Mwingi West Member of Parliament Hon. Charles Nguna embarked on a development and “Meet the People” tour in Kaliluni, Migwani Location, where he officially launched the grading of the Migwani–Kaliluni–Kwa Mbuta Road.
Addressing residents and the media during the tour, Hon. Nguna confirmed that the road works had been successfully lobbied through the Kenya Rural Roads Authority (KeRRA) under his patronage.
“The scope of work for this project will include bush clearing, grading, installation of culverts, and spot murraming,” the MP stated.
The Migwani–Kaliluni–Kwa Mbuta road connects key areas within Migwani and Kyome/Thaana Wards, and is expected to significantly improve transport and facilitate business operations for local residents.
The legislator reaffirmed his commitment to improving infrastructure across Mwingi West, pledging continued collaboration with national agencies to bring tangible development to the grassroots.
“This road is vital for farmers, traders, and daily commuters. It’s part of my broader plan to open up the region and ensure our people enjoy better services,” Hon. Nguna added.
The event was well-attended by local leaders, area residents, and KeRRA representatives, who lauded the MP’s efforts in championing development in the constituency.
