In a show of solidarity and community, Hon. Mark Nding’o, MCA for Yatta/Kwavonza Ward, was joined by fellow Kitui County MCAs in paying a visit, locally known as “nzisya” (a visit to the sick), to their ailing colleague, Hon. Elizabeth Mulu.
The visit took place at Hon. Mulu’s home in Konza village, located in Nyaanyaa/Ndunguni village.Hon. Elizabeth Mulu, who is the widow of the late Jeremiah Mulu, received the delegation at her residence as the leaders came to offer their support and well-wishes during her time of illness.Among the leaders present at the heartfelt gathering were Kitui Rural MP Hon. Mboni Mwalika and Kitui Central MP Dr. Makali Mulu. The visit emphasized the importance of community unity and support among leaders, particularly during difficult times.
Speaking during the visit, Hon. Mark Nding’o highlighted the need for continued togetherness among leaders and the community, particularly when one of their own faces personal challenges. He expressed his wishes for Hon. Elizabeth Mulu’s swift recovery, noting that the entire Kitui leadership is united in standing by her during this time.
The visit reflects the strong cultural tradition of nzisya, where members of the community come together to visit and comfort those who are unwell, reinforcing the values of empathy and togetherness within the county.
