Former Kitui Governor Ngilu Hails Kitui FSAs’ Impact on Poverty Reduction at Ikutha FSA AGM
Governor Charity Kaluki Ngilu honored and invitation to the Annual General Meeting (AGM) of Ikutha Financial Services Association (FSA) held in Ikutha Ward, Kitui South Sub-County earlier today.
In her address, Mama Ngilu applauded the critical role Financial Services Associations continue to play in uplifting communities and reducing poverty levels across Kitui County.
Small and medium enterprises have immensely benefited from the financial solutions provided by these community FSAs, especially at a time when our country is faced with tough economic challenges.
“FSAs are transforming lives by providing timely, accessible and affordable financial services to our people. I commend your efforts and contribution to the fight against poverty among our people,” said Governor Ngilu.
Mama Ngilu regretted the rising levels of unemployment amongst Kitui Youth. Ngilu pledged that in the coming days Kitui will get back on track with Employment creation for Kitui youths being one of her biggest focus.
The well-attended AGM brought together members from Ikutha, Kasaala, Kanziku, Kyoani, Kyandula, Muangeni, Kalivu, Athi, Timboni, Maluma, and Kibwezi regions.
