Kitui Central MP Hon. Dr. Makali Mulu on Friday commissioned a newly constructed modern four-classroom storey building at Makutano Primary School in Kyangwithya East Ward, marking another milestone in efforts to improve learning infrastructure across the constituency. The facility, named the Hon. Dr. Makali Mulu Block, is expected to provide a better learning environment for pupils while easing classroom congestion.
Speaking during the commissioning, Dr. Makali said investment in education remains one of his key priorities, emphasizing that quality infrastructure is essential for improving academic performance and ensuring every child has access to a conducive learning environment. Residents, teachers, parents, and local leaders welcomed the project, describing it as a significant boost to education in the ward.
Dr. Makali Mulu has earned widespread recognition for spearheading major infrastructure development projects across Kitui Central Constituency, including the construction of classrooms, roads, markets, and other public facilities. Supporters say the latest project further reinforces his development record as he positions himself for the Kitui gubernatorial race in the 2027 General Election.
