Lawyer Ndegwa Njiru has been appointed as the first Spokesperson of the Wiper Patriotic Front following a major leadership reorganization announced by party leader Kalonzo Musyoka on Friday.
The appointment is part of a broader restructuring aimed at strengthening the party’s leadership ahead of the 2027 General Election. Kalonzo said the newly created spokesperson position is intended to enhance the party’s public communication and engagement with Kenyans.
In announcing the appointment, Kalonzo described Njiru as a constitutional advocate who has consistently defended ordinary citizens, lawmakers, and young people in court, expressing confidence that he will effectively communicate the party’s vision and agenda.
The leadership changes also saw former Cabinet Minister Jamleck Kamau appointed as Party Chairman, while Nyali MP Mohamed Ali was named Deputy Party Leader designate. The appointments are part of the Wiper Patriotic Front’s preparations to strengthen its national presence ahead of the 2027 elections.
