Principal Secretary for Livestock Development Hon. Jonathan Mueke has held talks with Dr. Augustus Kyalo Muli, Patron of the Popular Anzauni Clan and Party Leader of the National Liberal Party (NLP), on the welfare of the community and development priorities in Kitui County.
Mueke welcomed Dr. Muli for what he described as a candid conversation focused on issues affecting the people of Kitui and opportunities to improve livelihoods. The discussions also explored areas where the national government and local leaders can work together to advance programmes aimed at creating opportunities for residents.
“I appreciate his willingness to work with Government in advancing programmes that improve livelihoods and create opportunities for our people,” PS Mueke stated.
Mueke emphasized the importance of putting the interests of the people first, saying leaders can work together despite political differences when the goal is to deliver meaningful development.
“When we put the interests of our people first, we can always work together to deliver progress,” he said.
