Kamba Benga superstar Alex Kasau Katombi has issued a stern warning to bloggers and YouTube content creators who have uploaded his videos, photographs and audio recordings on their channels without his permission.
In a statement, Katombi gave content creators a 24-hour ultimatum to remove any of his material, whether from interviews or live performances. He warned that those who fail to comply will face copyright strikes and infringement claims against their platforms.
Katombi appeared to express his frustration over what he described as negative branding against him, declaring: “They branded me a bad person; let me show you how bad I can become.” His warning is likely to attract attention among bloggers and entertainment platforms that regularly share content from his performances and interviews.
