Commissioner Ben Muasya has met residents of Mutini Location for a candid engagement aimed at addressing challenges affecting the community and strengthening collaboration between local leadership and residents.
During the meeting, residents raised several issues affecting their daily lives, among them the lack of a latrine at the Mutini Chief’s office. Although the facility may appear basic, residents noted that it is essential for maintaining dignity and ensuring effective delivery of public services.
Muasya engaged the community on possible ways they could collectively contribute towards addressing the challenge, emphasizing the importance of residents taking an active role in solving issues affecting their locality.
The Commissioner also provided food to residents during the engagement, highlighting his approach of responding to both immediate needs and longer-term community challenges.
Muasya said sustainable development is best achieved when leaders and communities work together to identify challenges and implement practical solutions. His engagement comes as he continues to position himself as a candidate for the Kitui West parliamentary seat in the 2027 elections under the banner of community-focused leadership.
