Mwingi North MP aspirant Hon. Martha Mati has praised President William Ruto for what she described as development programmes and empowerment initiatives transforming communities across Kitui County.
Mati spoke during an Empowerment and Engagement Forum held in Mutonguni Ward, Kitui West, where she joined Kitui West MP aspirant Hon. Benedict Muasya and Mutonguni Ward MCA aspirant Hon. Jemimah Ndanu Mwangangi.
The forum brought together a number of leaders, including Hon. Nimrod Mbai, Senator Beth Syengo, Hon. Penina Malonza, Kitui County Assembly Speaker Hon. Kevin Kinengo Katisya, Hon. MCA Paul Maluki, Hon. Bonnie Musambi, Hon. Moses Banda, Hon. John Kisangau and Hon. Esther Ndile.
In her address, Mati lauded President Ruto for rolling out development and empowerment programmes across the county, citing initiatives aimed at improving livelihoods, strengthening security and supporting communities at the grassroots.
She said residents in Mwingi North and other parts of Kitui were already benefiting from programmes aligned with the government’s Bottom-Up Economic Transformation Agenda (BETA).
Mati said leaders supporting the agenda remained committed to ensuring that government programmes translate into tangible benefits for ordinary Kenyans.
“Together we are committed to ensuring the Bottom-Up Economic agenda reaches every household,” Mati said.
The Mutonguni forum brought together residents and leaders for discussions on empowerment, development and community engagement as political leaders intensify grassroots mobilisation ahead of the 2027 General Election.
