Deputy President Kithure Kindiki joined local leaders and residents in Mwingi North on Sunday for a thanksgiving ceremony, where he commended prominent businessman and politician Mutati Sonko for his significant contributions to the community.
Joined the faithful at Gospel Outreach Church, Kyuso, Mwingi North Constituency, Kitui County for Sunday Worship and Thanksgiving Service led by Bishop Isaac Kithome.
Present are MPs; Eng. Paul Nzengu (Mwingi North), Mwenda Gataya (Senator, Tharaka Nithi), Lilian Siyoi (Woman Representative, Transzoia County), Eric Wamumbi (Mathira), Benard Kitur (Nandi Hills), Patrick Munene (Chuka Igambang’ombe), Nimrod Mbai (Kitui East), MCAs and other other leaders.
The Deputy President’s recognition came after residents passionately called for him to acknowledge Sonko’s role in regional development. Kindiki, responding to the crowd’s enthusiasm, remarked, “Kumbe wewe Mutati ndio kusema huku,” highlighting Sonko’s influence in Mwingi.
The event celebrated community progress and underscored the government’s commitment to addressing local challenges while fostering collaboration among leaders.
