Dr. Irene Kasalu, the Women Representative of Kitui County, has inaugurated a comprehensive four-month training program aimed at empowering the youth with vital skills in entrepreneurship, e-commerce, and online trading. This initiative is set to benefit approximately 500 young people across Kitui Central, Mwingi, and Mutomo.
The training program, spearheaded by Dr. Kasalu, is designed to foster self-employment and economic self-reliance among the county’s youth. Participants will receive practical instruction in business planning, financial management, and digital marketing. Additionally, they will gain hands-on experience with e-commerce platforms and online trading strategies, equipping them with the tools to succeed in the digital economy.
Dr. Irene Kasalu emphasized the significance of this initiative, stating, “Kyeni kya aka, uathimo wa andu onthe,” highlighting her commitment to the welfare and development of all residents in Kitui County. This program is a testament to her dedication to empowering the youth and ensuring they have the necessary skills to create sustainable livelihoods.
