In a solemn ceremony marked by grief and calls for justice, leaders from Mwingi North gathered to lay off Mr Alex Mwova.
The late Alex Mwova was a brother in law to Mr. John Munyithya who is a decorated bank, among those who attended include Mwingi North MP Hon. Paul Musyimi Nzengu, who joined former Vice President Kalonzo Musyoka in mourning the loss.
The leaders strongly condemned the violence that led to the death of the young protesters and the looting that affected local businesses. Mr. Munyithya emphasized the need for accountability, urging authorities to bring those responsible to justice.
Kalonzo Musyoka reiterated the sentiments, expressing the urgent need for arrests and legal action against those involved in the violence. “Kenyans want to see arrests moving forward,” he stated, reflecting the community’s demand for peace and justice.
The tragic event has sparked a renewed call for peaceful dialogue and resolution in addressing the issues that led to the demonstrations, with leaders advocating for constructive engagement to prevent further loss of life.
