Former Kisasi MCA, Hon. Emeritus Kasee Musya, has urged sitting Members of the County Assembly (MCAs) to foster close collaboration with the Executive to ensure accelerated development in Kitui County. Speaking during the burial of a prominent businessman in Kisasi town Mze Ngota, the former legislator emphasized that unity between the Executive and the County Assembly is critical for achieving tangible progress.
“When the Executive and the County Assembly work together, great things happen. It is the only way we can achieve meaningful development for our people,” Hon. Kasee Musya said.
The current Kisasi MCA, Hon. Nicholas Mutemi, echoed these sentiments, affirming his commitment to work closely with Governor Julius Malombe for the betterment of the region. However, MCA Mutemi expressed his reservations about the ongoing motion to impeach Finance CECM Hon. Mwikya Kilonzo.
“I will not support the impeachment motion. It is suspicious that all impeachment motions in Kitui seem to originate from one particular region. Wiper leaders need to come clean on this matter,” said Hon. Mutemi.
The burial ceremony was attended by several prominent leaders, including former Kitui Governor Charity Ngilu, Kitui Rural MP Mboni Mwalika, Chief Officers Kamba and Kathenge, and former County Secretary Mr. G.K. Kimanzi, among others.
This call for unity comes at a time when political tensions within the Kitui County Assembly have raised concerns over governance and development. Leaders from different factions are now being urged to put aside their differences and focus on serving the people of Kitui County.
