Former Kitui County Chief of Staff, Mr. Chrispus Ileli, has called on residents of Kitui to rally behind President William Ruto’s administration, emphasizing the need for the community to align with the government for development benefits.
Speaking at the Burial of Charles Kyalo Mbuvi at Unyaa grounds, Kitui central, Mr. Ileli highlighted the importance of being part of the government to access resources and influence decision-making. “As a community, we can’t afford to be in the opposition. We must support President Ruto, who has demonstrated his commitment to the well-being of Kenyans,” he stated.
He urged Kitui residents to register for the Social Health Authority (SHA) program to ensure they benefit from accessible healthcare. “The SHA program is a transformative initiative. I encourage everyone to enroll so their health care needs are covered,” he said.
Mr. Ileli also commended President Ruto for addressing public concerns regarding the Adani energy deal, noting the swift action taken as a sign of responsive leadership.
On infrastructure and development, Mr. Ileli stressed the need for Kitui County to align with the national government to benefit from key projects such as the Kibwezi-Migwani-Mbondoni Road, Thwake Dam, and Konza City. “We can’t be stuck at the gate of these transformative projects while others are sharing the benefits inside the sitting room. This is our chance to join the government of the day and secure our share of the national cake,” he remarked.
The former chief of staff concluded by urging Kitui leaders to embrace progressive politics, stating that collaboration with the current government would unlock opportunities for the county and its residents.
