Hon. Mark Nding’o Inspects Borehole in Itomya, Advocates for Solarization to Combat Water Scarcity

Itomya, Kitui County – On 30th May 2024, Hon. Mark Nding’o the Member of County Assembly for Yatta kwa Vonza, visited Itomya to inspect the status of the local borehole, a critical water source for the community. This visit is part of a broader initiative by the Kitui County government to address water scarcity by solarizing boreholes across the county.

During his inspection, Hon. Nding’o emphasized the importance of transitioning to solar-powered boreholes, highlighting the sustainability and efficiency benefits. “Solarizing our boreholes will significantly ease the water scarcity challenges we face.
