Tseikuru Ward Sees Intense Competition as Munyoki Kituo Joins Wiper Party
Mwingi North, July 30, 2024 – Tseikuru Ward is gearing up for a heated political battle as three aspirants position themselves for the coveted Wiper Party ticket. The latest entrant, Mr. Munyoki Kituo, a prominent businessman and political activist, has officially joined the Wiper Party, intensifying the competition.
Mr. Munyoki, well-known in Tseikuru town, has come close to securing the seat twice before, narrowly missing out on both occasions. His entry into the race is expected to shake up the dynamics, given his strong local support and established presence in the community.
Another contender, Kangutu Ngundo, a secondary school teacher and businessman, has also thrown his hat into the ring. Ngundo’s dual roles as an educator and entrepreneur have earned him considerable respect and influence, making him a formidable opponent.
The sitting Member of County Assembly (MCA), Hon. Kimanzi Muange, finds himself in a precarious position as he seeks re-election. With strong challengers like Munyoki and Ngundo aiming to unseat him, Muange’s path to retaining his position appears increasingly challenging.
Tseikuru Ward, located in Mwingi North, holds significant political weight as it is the home region of HE Kalonzo Musyoka, a key figure and kingpin in the area. The upcoming elections are expected to draw considerable attention, with the outcome likely to influence the broader political landscape in the region.
As the aspirants position themselves for a tough battle, the residents of Tseikuru Ward will be closely watching to see who will emerge victorious and represent them in the county assembly.
