The Ministry of Health and Sanitation in Kitui County has today received a significant delivery of essential drugs and non-pharmaceutical supplies to enhance healthcare services. The supplies, valued at KES 51 million, were provided by the Kenya Medical Supplies Authority (KEMSA). Additionally, the Mission for Essential Drugs and Supplies (MEDS) has pledged a consignment worth KES 48 million, which is set to be delivered within the next week.
This combined effort, totaling KES 99 million, will benefit all 311 health facilities across the county. Chief Officer for Drugs and Medical Supplies, Aggrey Kamba, received the consignment on behalf of the County Executive Committee Member for Health and Sanitation, Ruth Koki, at a ceremony held at the Kitui County Referral Hospital (KCRH).
