On Thursday, August 22nd, 2024 – In a landmark move to enhance agricultural development and empower local communities, the Kitui County Government has entered into a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with newly elected Community Driven Development Committees (CDDCs) under the National Agricultural and Value Chain Development Project (NAVCDP).
The MOU, signed at the Kitui Agricultural Training Centre (ATC) by the County’s Chief Officer for Agriculture, Gladys Kivoto, signifies a significant step towards strengthening the collaboration between the county government and grassroots organizations.
This partnership is expected to ensure the successful implementation of sustainable agricultural practices that are specifically tailored to the needs of local farmers in Kitui.The agreement focuses on streamlining resource allocation, bolstering capacity building, and providing technical support to farmers.
