Kitui County Assembly Speaker, Hon. Kevin Katisya Kinengo, was recently awarded the prestigious “Africa Youth Service Award” during The Voice Business Summit and Achievers Award Ceremony hosted by The Voice News Magazine in Nairobi. The accolade, presented under the Voice Achievers Awards and led by Pastor Elvis Iruh, recognizes the significant contributions Kinengo has made as a youthful leader in Kenya.
Expressing his gratitude, Speaker Kinengo said, “Thank you, Voice Achievers Awards led by Pastor Elvis Iruh, for recognizing the efforts I have made as a youthful leader this far. Last evening you recognized me for the service rendered, cognizant of my humble upbringing and dedication to Kenyans and my God-given service as the youngest county assembly speaker in all the 47 County Assemblies.”
Humbled by the global recognition, Kinengo dedicated the award to his wife, acknowledging her unwavering support throughout the challenging journey of his political career. He also expressed appreciation to the honorable members of the Kitui County Assembly and the people of Kitui, noting that this recognition has bolstered his resolve to continue serving the nation.
“This award has truly uplifted my self-esteem as a young leader and highly boosted my resolve to serve the nation. Through this global recognition, I want to encourage my fellow youth that youths are no longer leaders of tomorrow but today,” Kinengo emphasized.
