The County Assembly Committee of Basic Education and Skills Development, chaired by Hon. Mark Ndingo, the Member of County Assembly (MCA) for Yatta Kwa Vonza, has garnered praise for its outstanding achievements in early childhood education.
The committee’s efforts together with Executive wing of Government have led to the construction of numerous Early Childhood Development Education (ECDE) centers across Kitui County, addressing the increasing demand for quality early learning facilities.
This achievement is part of a broader success story under the leadership of Governor Dr. Julius Makau Malombe EGH. The Ministry of Basic Education in Kitui, headed by Joyce Titus, a seasoned educationist with over three decades of experience, is recognized as one of the county’s best-managed ministries.
Ms. Titus, who holds both a Bachelor’s and a Diploma in Early Childhood Development and Education, has brought a strong commitment to educational excellence and innovation to her role as head of the County Education, Training, and Skills Development. Throughout her career, Ms. Titus has significantly contributed to basic, primary, and secondary education institutions, fostering professionalism, integrity, and a strong sense of community service.
The construction of the new ECDE centers is a direct result of this dedication. Hon. Mark Ndingo has been at the forefront of this development, working closely with Governor Malombe to ensure that the infrastructure meets the needs of the county’s youngest learners.
His commitment to education and local development has made him a standout figure among his fellow MCAs, as he actively collaborates with the governor to bring meaningful development to Yatta Kwa Vonza Ward.Additionally, Chief Officer Pauline Malali has played a crucial role in the ministry’s achievements.
