Kitui, June 10th, 2024 — Kitui Governor Dr. Julius Malombe (EGH) today welcomed the Advocates Complaints Commission to his office boardroom during a courtesy call. The commission is in Kitui County to conduct a public sensitization programme and a free legal aid clinic at KEFRI.
This initiative aims to inform the public about the existence and mandate of the Advocates Complaints Commission, educate them on their legal rights and responsibilities when seeking legal services, and offer professional legal advice to justice seekers in various areas of law.
Former National Assembly Deputy Speaker Moses Cheboi, leading the commission, highlighted that the commission handles inquiries into complaints against advocates, law firms, or their employees, conducts investigations, and facilitates amicable resolutions.Operating under the Office of the Attorney General and Department of Justice, the commission will continue its sensitization programme in Makueni tomorrow.For more information, the public is encouraged to participate in these programmes to better understand their legal rights and the services available to them.
