Kitui’s Jordan Hospital Medical College marked a milestone with its third graduation ceremony, celebrating the achievements of over 62 graduates who completed their studies in various health-related fields.
The ceremony was led by Dr. Joshua Matu, an accomplished urological surgeon who serves as Chairman of the Board of Directors and Management, as well as the Founder and Chief Executive Officer of Jordan Medical College. Dr. Matu emphasized the institution’s dedication to advancing health education and nurturing skilled medical professionals to meet global standards.
Professor Kisilu M. Kitainge, the Chief Officer and Council Secretary for the Technical and Vocational Education and Training Curriculum Development, Assessment and Certification Council (TVETCDACC), was the Chief Guest for the occasion, supported by Deputy Chief Guest Dr. Jackson Kioko.
Jordan Hospital Medical College was established with a mission to provide high-quality, dynamic training for healthcare professionals in a peaceful, focused setting away from urban distractions. As an affiliate of the renowned Jordan Hospital, Kitui County’s only Level 5 facility, the college benefits from the expertise of seasoned professionals and educators who enrich the learning experience of students.
The college is distinguished by its accredited training programs, which are periodically reviewed by regulatory bodies such as the Nursing Council of Kenya (NCK), the Kenya National Examination Council (KNEC), TVETCDACC, and the Kenya Nutritionists and Dieticians Institute (KNDI). All programs offered are registered and accredited by the relevant professional and regulatory organizations, ensuring that graduates are well-prepared for the demands of the healthcare field.
Jordan Medical College offers a variety of diploma and certificate programs designed to meet the needs of Kenya’s healthcare sector, including Kenya Registered Community Health Nursing, Biomedical Engineering, Ophthalmic Technology, Perioperative Theatre Technology, Health Records and Information Technology, Medical Catering, Counseling Psychology, Community Health, Health Service Support, and Social Work and Community Development, among others.
The college’s graduates are poised to enter the workforce equipped with essential competencies and skills, contributing to the healthcare landscape in Kitui County and beyond.
