Yatta Kwa Vonza Ward MCA, Hon. Mark Ndingo, has voiced his opposition to the mandatory nature of the nationwide livestock vaccination exercise. Speaking on the matter, Hon. Ndingo emphasized that the program, spearheaded by the National Government, should be voluntary and not forced on farmers.
“The government should allow farmers to decide whether to vaccinate their livestock. Forcing the exercise may lead to resistance among the farming community,” he stated.
The vaccination drive aims to curb livestock diseases across the country, but concerns from local leaders highlight the need for community sensitization and engagement.
