Nairobi, Kenya – In a dramatic turn of events in the National Assembly, Koimburi MP has issued a heartfelt apology for falsely accusing fellow Members of Parliament of receiving bribes to vote in favor of the Finance Bill 2024. The MP admitted to lying about the alleged Ksh 2 million bribes during a parliamentary session today.

Speaking on the floor of the house, Koimburi MP expressed deep remorse for his actions and acknowledged the gravity of his false claims. “I apologize to the Members of Parliament who voted ‘yes’ to the Finance Bill 2024. The MP continued, “I used this floor of the house to lie that you were bribed Ksh 2 million to vote ‘yes.’ It was a lie. Please forgive me.” His candid admission and plea for forgiveness resonated with many in the chamber, who listened attentively to his words.

Koimburi MP emphasized the importance of integrity and honesty in parliamentary proceedings and asked his fellow MPs to forgive him for misleading the Republic of Kenya. “I feel deeply sorry for my remarks and the damage they may have caused. I ask for your forgiveness,” he said.
