Kwa Vonza MCA Hon. Mark Ndingo Joins Governor Dr. Julius Makau Malombe to Celebrate 100 Years of Technical and Vocational Education and Training at Mulango Technical and Training College

In a momentous celebration, Kwa Vonza Member of County Assembly (MCA) Hon. Mark Ndingo joined His Excellency Governor Dr. Julius Makau Malombe to mark a century of excellence in Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) at Mulango Technical and Training College.

The event, held at the esteemed Mulango Technical and Training College, commemorated 100 years of dedication to enhancing students’ knowledge in innovation and skills development. The celebration highlighted the significant role that vocational training plays in driving the local and national economy.

Governor Dr. Julius Makau Malombe, in his keynote address, emphasized the transformative impact of TVET on the community and the broader economy. “Vocational training is a game changer in driving our economy by equipping students with the necessary skills and innovative thinking required in today’s job market,” he stated.

Hon. Mark Ndingo echoed the governor’s sentiments, praising the college for its unwavering commitment to providing quality education and training. “Mulango Technical and Training College has been a beacon of hope and a source of skilled labor for our industries. It has played a crucial role in shaping the future of countless individuals and, by extension, our community,” he remarked.

The centennial celebration featured various activities, including exhibitions showcasing the students’ innovative projects, speeches from alumni who have succeeded in various industries, and cultural performances by the students.

Mulango Technical and Training College, established in 1924, has consistently evolved to meet the changing needs of the job market, ensuring that its graduates are well-prepared to contribute to the economy. The institution offers a wide range of courses in areas such as engineering, information technology, hospitality, and business, among others.

As the event concluded, both Governor Malombe and MCA Ndingo reiterated their commitment to supporting and expanding TVET programs across the region, recognizing their critical role in fostering economic growth and development.

The celebration of 100 years of TVET at Mulango Technical and Training College not only honored the past but also looked forward to a future filled with continued innovation and excellence in vocational education.
