Machakos County Assembly Approves Environment and Natural Resources Report

Machakos, November 12, 2024 – Today, the Machakos County Assembly, chaired by Speaker Hon. Anne Kiusya, approved the Environment and Natural Resources Committee’s report on budget implementation for the Department of Climate Change for the financial year 2022/2023.

The report, presented by Committee Chair and Ikombe Ward MCA, Hon. Fredrick Kitetu, highlights achievements and areas for improvement in the county’s climate initiatives.

Members of the County Assembly voted to adopt the report, marking a step forward in Machakos County’s environmental management and climate action efforts.
