Matinyani Boys Alumni Achieve Land Ownership Through Unity and Collective Effort

Mutomo, 10th August 2024— In a demonstration of unity and determination, 23 alumni from Matinyani Boys Secondary School celebrated a major milestone in their lives as they received title deeds for a 5.7-acre parcel of land in Mutomo town. The land, strategically located next to the Mutomo KMTC institution, marks the culmination of years of collective investment and disciplined savings by the group.

The alumni, led by Chairperson Nicholas Mutua and Deputy Chairperson Nicodemus Simba, formed an investment association soon after completing their high school education. Their vision was clear from the start: to secure financial stability and growth through collaborative efforts. The group’s shared experiences at Matinyani Boys forged a strong bond, which they have now transformed into a tangible asset.

During the handover ceremony, the group’s patron, Mr. Pascal Mutuku, a revered teacher at Matinyani Boys, expressed his immense pride in their achievement. “Seeing you all come together and achieve something so significant is the greatest reward a teacher could ask for,” Mr. Mutuku said, visibly moved. He lauded the group for their foresight and perseverance, emphasizing the importance of maintaining their unity to accomplish even greater goals in the future.

Mr. Mutuku also encouraged the alumni to return to their alma mater to inspire current students. “Your story is a powerful example of what can be achieved through collaboration and perseverance. By sharing your journey with the younger generation, you will be giving back to the community that shaped you,” he added.

The alumni were deeply touched by Mr. Mutuku’s words and expressed their commitment to supporting both their former school and the broader community. Their successful land acquisition is not just a testament to their hard work and unity but also a beacon of hope for others with ambitious dreams.

As they proudly held their title deeds, the 23 alumni celebrated more than just land ownership. They celebrated the strength of their collective bond and the promise of a prosperous future. Their journey stands as an inspiration, proving that with vision, unity, and dedication, even the loftiest dreams can be realized.
