Kwa Vonza Ward MCA, Hon. Mark Nding’o, has called on Wiper Party leader Dr. Stephen Kalonzo Musyoka to take a firm stand and lead the opposition amid growing political tensions. Hon. Nding’o emphasized the need for Kalonzo to assert his leadership and guide the opposition as the country navigates a complex political landscape, the TCD digital reports.
Kalonzo Musyoka, a veteran politician and key figure in the Azimio la Umoja-One Kenya coalition, finds himself in a precarious position. He is caught between maintaining his long-standing alliance with Raila Odinga or charting a new course in light of recent political developments.
The situation has been further complicated by Raila Odinga’s indication that he may collaborate with President William Ruto in a broad-based government, following the appointment of several ODM members to the cabinet.During a recent address at the AIC church in Makongeni, Thika, Kalonzo Musyoka urged leaders to make clear choices in the current political environment.
He challenged them to decide whether they would support the youth and the general populace popularly known as Genz or align themselves with President Ruto’s administration.“You are either with Gen Zs and the Kenyan people or with Zakayo, it is as simple as that.
There is no two way about it,” Kalonzo stated, signaling a need for decisive leadership.Hon. Mark Nding’o echoed these sentiments, urging Kalonzo to stand firm and provide strong leadership for the opposition.
He emphasized that Kalonzo should not waver in his commitment to leading the alternative government in Kenya, which is crucial for holding the current administration accountable.
As political dynamics continue to evolve, the call for Kalonzo Musyoka to assert his leadership is seen as a significant moment for the opposition, which is grappling with the challenges of unity and direction in the face of a shifting political landscape.///_
