Mwingi West Member of Parliament, Hon. Charles Nguna, officially flagged off the Uwezo Fund training exercise in Nguutani Town earlier today. The initiative aims to empower 33 Women and Youth groups with skills for proper fund management following successful applications.
Under the program, first-time applicants will receive an initial disbursement of Ksh. 100,000, while groups seeking refinancing can access up to Ksh. 500,000.
The training will extend to all four wards within the constituency and is set to conclude with the issuance of cheques to beneficiaries before the end of the year.
Hon. Nguna reiterated his commitment to enhancing financial literacy and fostering economic growth among women and youth through such impactful initiatives.
