In a transformative development for the Ngwani community, the long-awaited borehole drilling project has been successfully completed, delivering over 7 cubic meters of water. This vital resource will now meet the needs of the Ngali, Kakithya, and Kisuna communities, marking a significant milestone in their pursuit of sustainable water access.
The project was executed by the Kitui County Government under the leadership of Governor Malombe and Hon. Kimuli. Their efforts have turned a long-held dream into reality, providing a dependable water source that will improve the quality of life for residents and foster community growth.
In Kanziko, additional water initiatives are underway, further enhancing the region’s infrastructure. The solarization of the Mivvuni borehole is in progress, with a pipeline extension planned from the borehole site to Kalyani Dispensary, passing through Kwa Munyoki to Osa Maku Shopping Center.
The Kangukangu water project is also advancing, benefiting areas such as Mwanianga, Muthue, Mwangala, Vutu, Ekani, Kanziko Town, and Kituvwi. Efforts to rehabilitate the Kyatulu borehole and repair the Ndilili rock catchment pipeline are part of the ongoing improvements.
Priority repairs are slated for the Kwa Kasili hand pump and Kaaki borehole, underscoring the county government’s commitment to ensuring all communities have access to essential water resources.
With these initiatives, the local government and community members are hopeful for continued development and prosperity in Kanziko and the broader Kitui area.
