No Boardroom Dialogue in Upcoming UDA Grassroots Election, Says Kitui East MP

Kitui East Member of Parliament, Hon. Nimrod Mbai, has announced that the upcoming United Democratic Alliance (UDA) grassroots election, slated for next month, will be decided by the people, dismissing any notion of boardroom dialogue.

Speaking to the press, MP Mbai emphasized that the decision to forgo internal dialogues, as proposed by some delegates, is aimed at ensuring the election of strong leaders who can effectively contribute to the party’s success in the 2027 General Election.

“The people will decide in the upcoming UDA party grassroots election,” MP Mbai stated firmly. He further argued that the dialogue being pushed by certain delegates could result in the selection of weak leaders, thereby jeopardizing the party’s prospects in the forthcoming national elections.

MP Mbai highlighted the strategic importance of the positions being contested, stressing that the UDA has meticulously mapped out the roles essential for securing victory in 2027. “We have mapped out positions that we need to win in the coming General Election,” he asserted, underscoring the party’s commitment to a democratic and transparent electoral process.

The UDA grassroots election is a critical step in the party’s preparations for the 2027 General Election, as it seeks to solidify its base and ensure the selection of capable and robust leaders to champion its cause.
