Yatta Kwavonza Ward, July 20, 2024** – In a landmark effort to alleviate the persistent water shortage in Nyanyaa, Hon. Mark Nding’o, MCA of Yatta Kwavonza Ward, has announced the launch of the Nyanyaa Water Project. This initiative, powered by FUNDIFIX in partnership with USAID, aims to deliver a dependable water supply to the region.
Earlier today, Hon. Nding’o’s team shared the uplifting news with the residents of Nyanyaa. The project centers on the rehabilitation, repair, and maintenance of the borehole at Kwa Reuben Mutua in the Kiliko area. This borehole, which has been non-operational for many years, left the community in dire need of water.
Once restored, the borehole will provide a vital water source for the residents of Kiliko, Kalivini, Kalima, Mandu, Oasis, and neighboring areas. The collaboration with FUNDIFIX and USAID guarantees not only the borehole’s revival but also its ongoing management and the regulation of water usage.
This project heralds a new era of hope for the Nyanyaa community, promising enhanced access to clean and reliable water, thereby significantly improving their quality of life.
