Opposition Leader Kalonzo Musyoka Visits Ailing impeached Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua at Karen Hospital

Opposition leader Rt. Hon. Kalonzo Musyoka, alongside a group of senior leaders, paid a visit to the impeached Deputy President of Kenya, H.E. Rigathi Gachagua, at The Karen Hospital in Nairobi. Gachagua was taken ill last evening during the ongoing impeachment trial at the Senate.According to Kalonzo Musyoka, Deputy President Gachagua remains weak but stable under the care of the hospital’s medical team, led by Dr. Dan Gikonyo. Musyoka expressed gratitude to both God and the medical staff for their timely intervention.“DP Gachagua is weak but stable, and we thank God and the medical staff for their efforts,” Musyoka told the press after the visit.Gachagua had been attending the impeachment proceedings when he suddenly fell ill, prompting his immediate transfer to The Karen Hospital for medical attention. The nature of his illness has not been disclosed, but sources indicate he is under close observation.The impeachment trial has been a highly charged political event, with tensions running high on both sides of the political divide. Gachagua’s health scare has added another layer of complexity to the already tumultuous process.Deputy President Gachagua, who was impeached by the National Assembly, is currently undergoing a trial in the Senate.
