The installation of Safaricom network masts in Kabati and Emuumba is set to enhance telecommunications in Kitui East, providing significant advantages in security and economic opportunities, according to local MP Nimrod Mbai.
MP Mbai, who visited the site of the ongoing construction, expressed gratitude towards Safaricom for their efforts to connect these regions. He noted that improved network coverage would allow residents to conduct business more efficiently and report any incidents of insecurity promptly to the police.
“The installation of these network masts is a game-changer for our community,” said Mbai, speaking to the press after the visit. “Better connectivity means better security, and our people will now have easier access to essential services, which will significantly enhance their quality of life.”
The Safaricom masts are expected to bridge the communication gap in Kitui East, providing residents with reliable network access. Local leaders believe this development will not only bolster security measures but also encourage new business ventures by facilitating smoother communication within and outside the region.
