Kibwezi West, June 4, 2024 — Hon. Mwengi Mutuse, Member of Parliament for Kibwezi West, conducted an inspection tour of the ongoing desilting and construction works at Yimwea Earth Dam in Mbui Nzau, Nguumo ward. This visit underscores the MP’s commitment to improving water and food security in the region.
“We are set to desilt and construct new dams and water pans in each of our six wards,” stated Hon. Mutuse during the inspection. “This is in addition to the household pans for our household food security programs, which have been actively ongoing in different parts of Kibwezi West.”
These efforts are part of a broader agenda to ensure sustainable water supply and enhance agricultural productivity, ultimately improving the livelihoods of Kibwezi West residents. The initiative aligns with the “Sisi ni Maendeleo chap Chap” (We are Development Now) motto, emphasizing swift and impactful development projects.
