The commission on Revenue allocation has embarked on a comprehensive assessment of revenue streams across counties to enhance Own Source Revenue (OSR) for both county and national governments.
Speaking during the launch of the exercise in Kajiado County, Commissioner Muasya, who led the Commission’s team, emphasized the importance of developing Revenue Mapping Guidelines to identify and optimize revenue sources.
“This initiative is crucial in strengthening financial sustainability and service delivery for counties,” Commissioner Muasya noted.
The exercise will cover all counties, aiming to provide a framework for improved revenue collection and management.
