A tragic banditry attack has claimed the life of Mr. Robert Mutisya, a well-known livestock farmer from Ikandani, Mutha, Kitui south. The incident, which occurred in the remote area of Kanduluma, situated 82 kilometers away at the border between Mutha and Endau Malalani wards, has shocked the local community.
Dr. Racheal Kaki Nyamai, the Member of Parliament for Kitui South, has called upon the security agencies to step up and restore normalcy in the area.
She revealed that she has already engaged the National Government security agency through Kitui County Commissioner Mr. Kipchumba Ruto to address the situation urgently.
In a show of solidarity, Dr. Nyamai, alongside Kitui Central Member of Parliament Dr. Makali Mulu and Mutha MCA Hon. Dominic Mwamisi, will be visiting the bereaved family to offer their condolences.
The family of Mr. Mutisya, also known as Mwalimu Ndevu, is mourning the loss of a respected member of their community, it is reported that Earlier the badidicts attempted to kill his father too.
The victim’s body has been transported to Mutomo Mortuary as investigations continue into the brutal attack. Dr. Nyamai expressed her deepest condolences to the family and called for swift action to prevent such incidents from recurring in the region.Ends//
