Mumias MP Peter Salasya Unveils Magnificent KMTC Shianda Campus Building

Mumias East Member of Parliament, Peter Salasya, has officially announced the completion of a state-of-the-art storey building at the Shianda KMTC (Kenya Medical Training College) – Mumias Campus.

The new facility is now ready for handover and is set to significantly boost learning standards in the region.Sharing the update via his official communication channels, MP Salasya expressed immense pride in the milestone, calling it a reflection of his administration’s commitment to improving the quality of education and infrastructure in Mumias.

“This project reflects my administration’s ongoing dedication to enhancing the quality of learning environments for students, ensuring they have access to modern educational infrastructure,” he stated.

The new building features modern lecture halls and facilities designed to create a conducive learning environment for medical trainees. It is part of a broader agenda to uplift the region through education and skills development.

Salasya also highlighted the importance of community involvement in the journey, noting that the success of the project was a collective achievement.“Nothing beats the joy of seeing the face of progress. It is a journey we began, and one we remain proud of as a community,” he added.

Residents and education stakeholders have welcomed the development, lauding it as a major step toward transforming Mumias into a regional hub for quality medical training.The official handover of the facility is expected to take place in the coming days.
